It’s Our Time

I grew up thinking at times when I was young that I was born in the wrong generation.
I remember the Lord spoke to me so softly one time and just, “Oh just wait.”
I was so horribly wrong.
I was born in this generation, “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).
You were born and thought out to be alive right in this moment.
Recent role models in my life have passed away in a matter of days apart.
Two role models who encouraged the revival and the spiritual awakening of our generation.
Patsy Cameneti was one of these leaders. A mighty woman who prophesied, taught, and truly loved more than anyone I have ever seen.
Charlie Kirk being the second leader. He traveled as a young man, with a wife and two children, to proclaim and exercise his rights to freedom. Now, a martyr for Jesus.
They have passed on into greater glory but that doesn’t mean we have been left behind to “fend for ourselves”.
It means it’s our turn to stand up and be even bolder than we’ve ever been before.
The night after Charlie Kirk was shot, I was at a prayer meeting for our nation and our generation.
I had a flash to me standing as a child again in front of a painting I had seen many times in my childhood.
The picture had two paths, one very large one that was filled along the sides with partying, clubs, women on top of men and vise versa, alcohol, etc.
Then, as you follow the large path, you watch their expressions change.
Suddenly there is a lake filled with fire and as they are enjoying their activities, they would start to slip into that fire.
In contrast, the path on the other side of this picture showed a narrow, rocky road.
What I always remember seeing as a child was that the narrow path had such few people on it.
It made a lasting impression on me as a child.
But that night, while on my knees praying, I saw that same narrow path suddenly filled with people.
More people than the picture had when I had seen it as a child.
There will be many caught up in not just a high of a revival, but a consistency of living revival as a lifestyle.
This is staying hungry, burning brightly for the Lord, and having a true intimacy with Him because we have found this to be true: NOTHING ELSE SATISFIES.
That narrow path once filled with barely anyone, will now be flooded with people.
In that vision, they rejoiced as they walked closer to the gate. A white, glowing, pearly gate, (Revelation 21:21).
May our generation flood the narrow road with souls.
The revival that is sweeping the nations won’t be ended when pillars have left the earth.
It was never coming from them, though they have cheered us on and spurred the movement.
It came from the One they are both with now.
The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
The One who designed every human in our generation and those same models for our generation.
I pick up my mantle, boldly and courageously, and say “Here am I, Lord, send me,” (Isaiah 6:8).
Because it’s our turn now to stand up confidently in the truth of the Word of God and the truth we stand by.
No attack of the enemy will quit the anointing of the Lord.
